In Copenhagen there is a strong commitment among municipalities and regions in East Denmark towards a green transition of their bus services. In collaboration with its owners, public transport agency Movia has formulated a Mobility plan setting out the target that by 2030, all bus services are fossil free and at least 50% is zero emission.
In 2021, Copenhagen had 114 electric buses and 44 CNC buses in service, alongside diesel buses.
