Early 2020 Västmanland got political approval on their "Strategy and plan for electric buses Svealandstrafiken". They chose depot charged E-buses for city lines as primary option; only if that is not possible they might consider opportunity charging on buslines.
All city buses are expected to be replaced by ebuses by 2030. E-buses or FC-buses on regional lines will be considered after first step of roll-out of ebuses in cities has been done, perhaps already in 2023.
